High Conviction Equities
Our High Conviction Equities (HCE) team invests across the equity capital structure, from pre-IPO to public companies. We apply our experience and discipline as an accomplished private equity investor to investing in companies that are public or on a growth trajectory to go public. Key to our investment philosophy is to partner with excellent management teams and companies with strong competitive potential. (The HCE team invests across the equity asset class, along the liquidity range of pre-IPO, PIPEs and high conviction positions in public companies.)
Our Private Capital department has accomplished average annualized returns of nearly 20 percent since inception in 1991. The department is divided into Private Equity and Long-Term Equities and invests according to expectations around risk, returns and the planned duration (hold period) of an investment.
Private Equity invests either directly into portfolio companies or into private equity funds. Long-Term Equities targets investments into stable, strong-cash flow businesses with a growth horizon that extends beyond traditional investing in the sector. Our investment professionals have the option to view opportunities in each of these categories as they weigh return expectations.
