Did your mat leave end in 2014?
April 21, 2015
An important tax deadline is around the corner, and we’re not talking about your 2014 income tax return. You have until April 30, 2015 to tell us whether you intend to buy back your absence that ended in 2014.
3 reasons to declare intent today
- Telling us reduces the likelihood that your buyback will need to be approved by the Canada Revenue Agency.
- You’re not obligated to buy back your leave even if you declare intent to us.
- You still have five years from the end of your leave to complete paying for your buyback.
