Robert Breckon joins Teachers’ Private Capital as Senior Advisor

TORONTO - Robert Breckon is bringing his knowledge and expertise in the health and life sciences industry to Teachers' Private Capital, the private equity department of the Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan.

As Senior Advisor, Mr. Breckon provides strategic counsel and portfolio support to Teachers' Private Capital and works with the healthcare team to source and evaluate transactions in the healthcare sector, within the department's Diversified group.

Mr. Breckon has 30 years of merger and acquisition, corporate development and operating experience in the global health and life sciences sector. He was most recently Senior Vice-President, Strategy & Corporate Development at MDS Inc., where he led acquisitions in North America, Europe, Asia and South America. Previously, he held senior-level positions at AutoLab Systems and was a partner at Ernst & Young. He has also served on the boards of numerous public and private companies in the U.S. and Canada.

Mr. Breckon holds a B.Sc. in Commerce and Computer Science from the University of Toronto and has completed the Harvard Business School Advanced Management Program.
