- Executive Managing Director, Global Development
Jo Taylor will become Ontario Teachers’ President and CEO, effective January 1, 2020.
Jo is responsible for advancing Ontario Teachers' global effectiveness across the entire enterprise. He works closely with other executive team members, and international colleagues, to collectively design and execute our international investment strategy and associated support requirements.
Jo has more than 35 years of investment experience, including 20 years with 3i Group plc, an international private equity and infrastructure investor. There he held a number of senior Group Management roles including CEO of their US subsidiary. At Ontario Teachers', he is a member of the Investment Committees for private companies and total fund allocations. He also oversees the investment teams operating in the international offices to set strategy, review investment proposals, manage key relationships and optimise the allocation of resources.
Jo is currently a non-executive director at Camelot Group, which operates the National Lottery in the UK. He holds an MBA from Manchester Business School and a BA (Honours) from London University.
- Managing Director, Direct Investing, Private Capital (Hong Kong)
Raju Ruparelia leads Ontario Teachers’ direct private equity investing activities across Asia-Pacific. Raju joined Ontario Teachers’ in 2008, was a senior founding member of its Hong Kong office in 2013 and has nearly two decades of combined experience in private equity and corporate finance. He has worked in both Toronto and London for the organization and has been involved in a number of its direct investments, including the acquisitions of Spandana Sphoorty Financial Ltd., INC Research, Coway, DTZ and Cushman & Wakefield. Raju currently sits on the board of Cushman & Wakefield.
Prior to joining Ontario Teachers’, Raju worked in investment banking at Credit Suisse in New York, in investments at Cadillac Fairview (Ontario Teachers’ wholly owned real estate subsidiary) and in the corporate finance group at Deloitte.
Raju holds a BA from Wilfrid Laurier University and an MBA from the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto.
- Director, High Conviction Equities (Hong Kong)
Dan Kiang joined Ontario Teachers' Hong Kong office in 2014 and is focused on direct equities investments in Asia.
Dan started his career as an investment banker with Merrill Lynch in New York and has nearly two decades of experience investing in Asia. Before joining Ontario Teachers', he was Managing Director at Mount Kellett Asia. Prior to that, he was a Director at Merrill Lynch Asia where he was responsible for its corporate principal investments in the Greater China region.
Dan received a Bachelor of Arts degree, Magna Cum Laude in Economics, with a Certificate in East Asian Studies, from Princeton University.

Amit Sobti joined the Private Capital division of Ontario Teachers' in 2016 and is part of the senior team responsible for direct and co-investing activities across the Asia-Pacific region. Amit sits on the board of Spandana Sphoorty.
Prior to joining Ontario Teachers', Amit had more than 15 years of experience in private equity and investment banking, most recently as a principal at Unitas Capital in Hong Kong. He was previously a principal in the healthcare group at Warburg Pincus in New York, prior to which he worked at Rhone Capital and in the M&A group at Merrill Lynch.
Amit holds a dual A.B. (magna cum laude) in Business Economics and Computer Science from Brown University.

Jonathan Sue joined Ontario Teachers' in 2012 and has been involved with a number of investments across the financial services and healthcare sectors, including Kanetix Ltd., APCO Holdings, First American Payment Systems, BroadStreet Partners, Canada Guaranty Mortgage Insurance Company and Heartland Dental Care. Jonathan is currently on assignment to Ontario Teachers' Hong Kong office and is focused on direct and co-investment opportunities in Asia.
Prior to joining Ontario Teachers', Jonathan worked in the transaction services group at Deloitte & Touche.
He is a Chartered Accountant (2010 CICA Honour Roll), a CFA charterholder, and holds a Bachelor of Accounting & Financial Management (Honours) and a Master of Accounting from the University of Waterloo.
- Principal (Hong Kong)
Kelvin Lin joined Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan 2012 and is currently part of the High Conviction Equities team. Prior to High Conviction Equities, Kelvin worked in the Infrastructure group and on the Relationship Investing team.
Prior to joining Ontario Teachers', Kelvin worked in Equity Research at Stifel Nicolaus.
Kelvin holds an HBA degree from the Richard Ivey School of Business at Western University and is a CFA charterholder.
- Investment Associate (Hong Kong)
Nayan Goyal joined Ontario Teachers’ Private Capital division in 2019, focusing on direct and co-investments across the Asia-Pacific region.
Prior to joining Ontario Teachers’, Nayan worked in the Investment Banking Division of Citi Bank focusing on M&A deals in India across multiple sectors.
Nayan earned his MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta and received the Institute Rank Silver Medal from “Honorable President of India” for extraordinary academic performance. Before that he graduated from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani with a BE (Honors) in Computer Science.
