Deborah Allan, Audrey Gaspar, Romeo Leemrijse

Jim Leech, President and CEO, Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan (Teachers'), is pleased to announce the promotions of: Deborah Allan to Vice-President, Communications and Media Relations; Audrey Gaspar to Vice-President, Investment Planning, Asset Mix & Risk; and Romeo Leemrijse to Vice-President, Industrial Products and Energy & Power, Teachers' Private Capital.

Deborah Allan is responsible for the organization's internal and external corporate communications strategies, including thought leadership, Teachers' international investment profile, issues management, and enterprise risk management. Ms. Allan joined Teachers' in 2005 as Director of Communications and Media Relations and has more than 30 years of experience in the communications industry. She holds a B.A.A. in Journalism from Ryerson University. Ms. Allan continues to report to Melissa Kennedy, General Counsel and Senior Vice-President, Corporate Affairs.

Audrey Gaspar is responsible for overseeing the plan's asset-liability model and analysis, investment planning, as well as supporting efforts around plan design to ensure the long-term sustainability of the plan. Ms. Gaspar joined Teachers' in 2005 as an Assistant Portfolio Manager in the Asset Mix & Risk group and has held successively senior roles. A CFA charterholder, she earned a Masters of Mathematical Finance from the University of Toronto; and Master of Arts, Mathematics and B.A. (Hons.), Mathematics from Western University. Ms. Gaspar continues to report to Barbara Zvan, Senior Vice-President, Asset Mix & Risk and Chief Investment Risk Officer.

Romeo Leemrijse is responsible for the Industrial Products and Energy & Power direct investing teams of Teachers' Private Capital. Mr. Leemrijse joined Teachers' in 2006 as a Portfolio Manager and was most recently Director, Consumer and Retail. He is a CFA charterholder and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Calgary. Mr. Leemrijse reports to Jane Rowe, Senior Vice-President, Teachers' Private Capital.

With $129.5 billion in net assets as at December 31, 2012, Teachers' is the largest single-profession pension plan in Canada. An independent organization, it invests the pension fund's assets and administers the pensions of 303,000 active and retired Ontario teachers.
