Three years in a row – Teachers’ ranks #1 globally

July 10, 2014

For the third year in a row, CEM Benchmarking Inc.  ranked Teachers' #1 for pension service in our peer group and #1 internationally.

"Our first priority at Teachers' is our members. Receiving this honour and recognition globally and amongst our peers as a leader in member service is a result of the commitment our teams bring to work each day," said Rosemarie McClean, senior vice-president, Member Services.

Our Clarity strategy, aimed at ensuring simplicity, personalization and insight, is our focus when it comes to informing and assisting our more than 300,000 members. We've continued to raise the bar on how we serve our members. Last year, we released two mobile apps (Worklog and Classtime) designed to help re-employed and occasional members. Now, we are designing a maternity-themed app to help teachers make decisions and to simplify the often complicated buyback process related to this type of leave.

CEM Benchmarking Inc. is an independent provider of objective and actionable benchmarking information currently serving more than 350 blue-chip corporate and government clients worldwide. It ranked Member Services top of the class for pension service among 40 international pension systems, as well as #1 for peer pension plans in North America, based on 2013 data. The CEM study ranks plan performance in 11 service categories, including telephone call wait times, quality of member statements, accuracy of data and website tools.

"We know it takes great effort to service members, not to mention maintain a #1 position amongst our peers," said Rosemarie. "That's why it is important for us to continue to stay on top by seeking innovative ways to serve our members and provide the utmost in member satisfaction."
