Friends and colleagues honoured Teachers' President and CEO Jim Leech by donating money toward a scholarship in his name for MBA students at the Queen's School of Business.

"This is an overwhelming and humbling honour," said Jim. "I have been involved with higher education, and with Queen's in particular, for 40 years. I am thrilled to know that Queen's students will benefit from the wonderful generosity of my friends and colleagues."

"We're honouring Jim because of the excellence he brought to Teachers'. This scholarship ensures that Jim's legacy of leadership and community spirit will live on," said Ron Mock, Teachers' CEO-elect. Ron made the announcement along with David Saunders, Dean of the Queen's School of Business, at a retirement dinner recently held in Jim's honour.

In October, Jim was named the next chancellor of Queen's University. He will begin his three-year term on July 1, 2014.
