- Managing Director, Natural Resources
Christopher Metrakos leads Ontario Teachers' Natural Resources team, which is focused on building a diversified portfolio across agriculture, energy, mining and timberland. He joined the organization in 2014 and previously focused on the energy sector. Prior to joining Ontario Teachers' Chris spent approximately ten years with a leading unregulated energy company, investing in energy and retail customer businesses across North America and internationally. He started his professional career in corporate finance, and previously held roles at two global investment banking firms in Toronto and London.
Chris holds a Bachelor of Arts, with a major in Economics, from McGill University and is a CFA charterholder. He also has ICD.D certification from the Institute of Corporate Directors.

Thierry Bédard is responsible for investments in the agricultural and forestry sectors. He led the acquisition of Woodspur Farms, a vertically-integrated producer of dates in the US, and Aroona Farms, an almond grower in Australia. He was also involved in the acquisition of a working interest in the Weyburn oil field in 2012. Thierry joined Ontario Teachers' in 2001 after spending two years as an investment consultant at Mercer. Since then, he has held a number of roles at the Plan. Prior to joining the Natural Resources group in 2013, he was part of the Tactical Asset Allocation team where he managed the fund's commodity portfolio.
Thierry earned a B.Sc. in Actuarial Science from Université Laval and an M.Sc. in Mathematics from the University of Ottawa. He is a CFA charterholder and has completed the OTPP Private Investments Board of Directors Program at the University of Toronto, Rotman School of Management.
James Sikora is responsible for investments in the energy and mining sectors within the Natural Resources group at Ontario Teachers'. Prior to joining the group in January 2019, James was part of the Global Active Equities team where he managed public equities resource exposure. He was also involved in the Plan's acquisition of a working interest in the Weyburn oil field in 2012.
James joined Ontario Teachers' in 2004 after spending two years in equity research at National Bank Financial. James earned a MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business at Western University and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Alberta. He is a CFA charterholder.

Nick Jago joined Ontario Teachers' in 2012 and has active asset management experience in portfolio companies in the timberland, agriculture and aquaculture sectors. He also has global transaction and asset management experience having worked on deals in North America and Australia. Nick was actively involved in the acquisition of Woodspur Farms, Aroona Farms, Jasper Farms, Atlantic Aqua Farms and in the establishment of Goldcrest Farm Trust.
Nick has a B.Sc. in Physics and an M.Sc. in Math from McMaster University. He is a CFA charterholder.
Dylan Hsu works closely with the Natural Resources team with a focus on the energy sector. He is actively involved with Heritage Royalty, an INR portfolio company located in Calgary. Prior to joining INR in 2016, Dylan worked at CIBC World Markets in the Global Mining Investment Banking team.
Dylan earned a Bachelor of Business Administration and Master of Finance from Wilfrid Laurier University.
Nicolas Ress joined Ontario Teachers' Natural Resources team in 2018. He has worked on the acquisition of Jasper Farms and is now involved in the asset management of agriculture and timber assets in Australia and New Zealand. Nicolas previously worked with Ontario Teachers' Infrastructure group where he was involved in the acquisition of Koole Terminals in the Netherlands and Autopista Arco Norte in Mexico, as well as the asset management of Cubico Sustainable Investments, a renewable energy investment platform. Prior to joining Ontario Teachers', Nicolas worked in capital markets at Goldman Sachs in both London and Paris.
Nicolas holds an MBA from the University of Toronto's Rotman School of Management and a Master of Finance from the University of Paris-Dauphine.
