- Managing Director, Natural Resources
Stephen McLennan is responsible for managing Ontario Teachers' allocation to Natural Resources, including direct private assets such as timberland, oil and gas and mining and agriculture. He joined Ontario Teachers' in 2003 and has held positions of increasing responsibility in both capital market and private asset related groups. Before joining Ontario Teachers', Stephen spent over three years with Merrill Lynch investment banking team in Calgary and prior to that, two years with the Canadian operations of Archer Daniels Midland.
Stephen holds a Masters of Mathematical Finance from the University of Toronto, an MBA from the University of British Columbia and a Bachelor of Commerce from McGill University. He is also a CFA charterholder and has an ICD.D certification from the Institute of Corporate Directors.

Thierry Bédard is responsible for investments in the agricultural and forestry sectors. He led the acquisition of Woodspur Farms, a vertically-integrated producer of dates in the US, and Aroona Farms, an almond grower in Australia. He was also involved in the acquisition of a working interest in the Weyburn oil field in 2012. Thierry joined Ontario Teachers' in 2001 after spending two years as an investment consultant at Mercer. Since then, he has held a number of roles at the Plan. Prior to joining the Natural Resources group in 2013, he was part of the Tactical Asset Allocation team where he managed the fund's commodity portfolio.
Thierry earned a B.Sc. in Actuarial Science from Université Laval and an M.Sc. in Mathematics from the University of Ottawa. He is a CFA Charterholder and has completed the OTPP Private Investments Board of Directors Program at the University of Toronto, Rotman School of Management.

Christopher Metrakos joined Ontario Teachers' in 2014 and is focused primarily on the energy sector. Before joining Ontario Teachers' he spent approximately ten years with a leading unregulated energy company, investing in energy and retail customer businesses across North America and internationally. Chris started his professional career in corporate finance, and previously held roles at two global investment banking firms in Toronto and London.
Chris holds a Bachelor of Arts, with a major in Economics, from McGill University and is a CFA charterholder. He also has an ICD.D certification from the Institute of Corporate Directors.

Michael (Mike) Hudgin joined Ontario Teachers' Infrastructure team in 2008 and subsequently joined the Natural Resources team in 2016. He is focused on the mining, agriculture, aquaculture and fisheries sectors. Michael worked on the acquisitions of Bristol Airport, Brussels Airport and Copenhagen Airports and has participated in transactions in several sectors including mining, agriculture, utilities, ports, toll roads, power generation, and timberland. Prior to Ontario Teachers', Michael worked in investment banking at JPMorgan in the transportation sector.
Michael earned a B.Comm. (Great Distinction) from McGill University, is a CFA charterholder, and a graduate of the Institute of Corporate Directors.
Nick Jago joined Ontario Teachers' in 2012 and has active asset management experience in portfolio companies in the timberland and agriculture sectors. He also has global transaction and asset management experience having worked on deals in North America and Australia. Nick was actively involved in the acquisition of Woodspur Farms and Aroona Farms and in the establishment of Goldcrest Farm Trust.
Nick has a B.Sc. in Physics and an M.Sc. in Math from McMaster University. He is a CFA charterholder.
Nicolas Ress joined Ontario Teachers' Natural Resources team in 2018. He has worked on the acquisition of Jasper Farms and is now involved in the asset management of agriculture and timber assets in Australia and New Zealand. Nicolas previously worked with Ontario Teachers' Infrastructure group where he was involved in the acquisition of Koole Terminals in the Netherlands and Autopista Arco Norte in Mexico, as well as the asset management of Cubico Sustainable Investments, a renewable energy investment platform. Prior to joining Ontario Teachers', Nicolas worked in capital markets at Goldman Sachs in both London and Paris.
Nicolas holds an MBA from the University of Toronto's Rotman School of Management and a Master of Finance from the University of Paris-Dauphine.

Dylan Hsu works closely with the Natural Resources team with a focus on the energy sector. He is actively involved with Heritage Royalty, an INR portfolio company located in Calgary. Prior to joining INR in 2016, Dylan worked at CIBC World Markets in the Global Mining Investment Banking team.
Dylan earned a Bachelor of Business Administration and Master of Finance from Wilfrid Laurier University.
