- Managing Director, Latin America, Infrastructure & Natural Resources
Stacey Purcell heads the Latin America Infrastructure team with responsibility for identifying, executing and managing infrastructure investments. Stacey joined INR in 2005 and has been involved in a number of transactions including the acquisitions of Essbio, Nuevosur, Esval, Saesa and Intergen’s former portfolio of Mexican generation assets. Stacey currently serves on the boards of Essbio, Esval, Saesa, and AndesCan and previously was a director for Bristol Airport. Prior to joining Ontario Teachers', she worked in energy transport and utilities as part of the corporate development team at Enbridge Inc. and as an analyst with Enbridge Gas Distribution.
Stacey earned a Bachelor of Commerce from Dalhousie University and is a Chartered Business Valuator. She completed the OTPP Private Investment Board of Directors Program at the University of Toronto, Rotman School of Management and is a graduate of the Institute of Corporate Directors.
John Kaye is a Director in OTPP’s Infrastructure & Natural Resources Group (INR) and is part of the Latin America Infrastructure team with responsibility for originating, executing and managing infrastructure investments. John currently sits on the board of our Mexican toll road investments, IDEAL, Arco Norte and Pacifico Sur, and was previously a board member for our investments in Essbio and Esval, Chilean regulated water utilities. John has a variety of transaction experience across the utility, transport and power sectors from his tenure at Ontario Teachers'. He joined the infrastructure team full-time in 2008 and was previously an investment banking analyst at National Bank Financial.
John earned a BBA (Honours, Economics and Finance) and a B.Sc. (Computer Science) from Bishop's University, and an MBA from the Rotman School of Management. He is a CFA charterholder and has completed the OTPP Private Investments Board of Directors Program at the University of Toronto, Rotman School of Management.
- Senior Principal
Igor Romitelli is a Senior Principal with Ontario Teachers’ Infrastructure team, having joined in 2020. He is responsible for sourcing, evaluating and executing new investment opportunities across a variety of subsectors in the Americas. Igor is also involved in asset management of existing portfolio companies, currently serving as board member of electricity transmission platform Evoltz.
Prior to joining Ontario Teachers', Igor worked in the energy private equity team at Actis, which focused on renewable power generation, as well as in the direct investment group at AG Investments, covering core and core-plus infrastructure in Latin America and Europe.
Igor holds an MBA with Distinction from INSEAD and an LL.B. from the University of São Paulo.
Roberto Robert-Giron joined Ontario Teachers’ in 2020 and is a member of the infrastructure team, where he is primarily focused on Latin America and responsible for identifying, executing, and managing infrastructure investments.
Prior to joining Ontario Teachers’, Roberto was a Senior Manager in Deloitte’s Infrastructure M&A team, advising pension funds, private equity firms and corporates on the acquisition and divestiture of assets across the infrastructure and energy sectors. Roberto has been involved in a number of transactions and projects in Ontario Teachers’ infrastructure portfolio, including Arco Norte, Cubico, GCT, and Chicago Skyway.
Roberto holds an Honours Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Toronto and is a CFA Charterholder.
Yiti Wang joined Ontario Teachers’ in 2019 and is part of the Infrastructure & Natural Resources team. She previously worked in global natural resources at CIBC Capital Markets and was based in Calgary.
Yiti holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Queen’s University.
