Bogdan Cenanovic leads Ontario Teachers' investing activities in the technology, media and telecom (TMT), financial services and healthcare sectors. He joined Private Capital in 2009 and has nearly two decades of private equity and investment banking experience.
Since joining the organization, he has been involved in a number of significant transactions including Ascend Learning, Blue Coat Systems, Canbriam Energy, CareerBuilder, Compass Datacenters, Datapipe, Fleet Complete, Flexera Software, Hawkwood Energy, Insight Pharmaceuticals, Kanetix, Metronode, Riverbed Technology and TierPoint. He currently sits on the boards of Amica Senior Lifestyles, Canada Guaranty Mortgage Insurance, Fleet Complete, Flexera Software and TierPoint.
Bogdan was previously a principal at TorQuest Partners and prior to that, a vice-president at EdgeStone Capital Partners, where he was responsible for sourcing and executing investments, as well as monitoring and providing strategic guidance to portfolio companies. Earlier in his career he worked as an investment banker at Lehman Brothers and Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette.
Bogdan is a graduate of the Honours Business Administration and MBA programs at the Richard Ivey School of Business at Western University. Additionally, he holds the ICD.D certification from the Institute of Corporate Directors.

Ashvin Malkani joined Ontario Teachers' in 2002 and has nearly 20 years of private equity investing experience. He has been involved in a number of transactions at Ontario Teachers', including Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment, CTVglobemedia, Doane Pet Care Company, North American Oil Sands Corporation, Q9 Networks, Datapipe, Ascend Learning, Metronode and TierPoint. Ashvin is presently based in London and leads the Global Technology, Media and Telecommunications group. He currently serves on the board of directors of 24-7 Intouch, Camelot Lottery Solutions, Compass Datacenters, Inmarsat and Premier Lotteries Ireland.
Prior to joining Ontario Teachers', Ashvin was an Analyst at TD Capital, the private equity arm of TD Bank Financial Group.
Ashvin received a BA from Western University and an MBA from the Schulich School of Business at York University.
Eric Hargrave joined Ontario Teachers' in 2009 and has nearly two decades of principal investing, investment banking and accounting experience. He relocated from Toronto to London in 2015 and after nine years of working on the Infrastructure and Natural Resources team, he joined Private Capital in 2018. He is responsible for origination, execution, and management of direct investments in the technology, media and telecom sectors across Europe, as well as geographic coverage for the Nordics. Eric currently serves on the board of Memora.
Prior to joining Ontario Teachers', Eric worked in investment banking at RBC Capital Markets, most recently as part of the London based Power, Utilities and Infrastructure group. Prior to that he worked at Ernst & Young in their M&A Advisory group focused on mid-market transactions. Earlier in his career, Eric also worked as a financial auditor at both Ernst & Young and BDO Dunwoody.
Eric earned a B.Comm. (Honours) from Laurentian University. He is a Chartered Accountant, a CFA charterholder, and a graduate of the Institute of Corporate Directors.

Vagh Bakhshyan joined Private Capital in 2013. He has been involved with a number of investments, including Inmarsat, TierPoint, Kanetix, Ascend Learning and Compass Datacenters. Vagh currently serves on the board of TierPoint and was formerly on the board of Kanetix.
Prior to joining Ontario Teachers’, Vagh worked in the investment banking division at CIBC World Markets and before that, he worked at Canaccord Genuity in Mergers & Acquisitions.
Vagh earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree (with high distinction) from the University of Toronto.

Ilya Kachko joined Ontario Teachers' in 2009 and has 15 years of private equity and investment banking experience. Ilya has been involved in a number of transactions at Ontario Teachers', including Camelot Group, Premier Lotteries Ireland, SeaCube Container Leasing, BayBridge Seniors Housing, Amica Mature Lifestyles, Datapipe, Metronode Group, 24-7 Intouch, and Fleet Complete. He currently serves on the board of directors of Premier Lotteries Ireland, Camelot Lottery Solutions, Fleet Complete, and 24-7 Intouch, and previously served on the boards of BayBridge Seniors Housing and Metronode Group.
Prior to joining Ontario Teachers', Ilya was part of the private equity team at Birch Hill Equity Partners and before that, he worked at TD Securities in Mergers & Acquisitions.
Ilya graduated from INSEAD with a Master of Business Administration, and from York University's Schulich School of Business with a Bachelor of Business Administration (with distinction).

Katie Lokash is a Senior Principal within Ontario Teachers’ direct private equity practice, focusing on investments in the technology, media and telecom sectors.
She joined Private Capital in 2014 as has over 15 years of private equity, investment banking and corporate development experience. Katie has been involved in a number of significant transactions at Ontario Teachers’, including Ascend Learning, TierPoint, Compass Datacenters, Flexera Software and OGF. She currently sits on the boards of Flexera Software, Compass Datacenters and Riverbed Technology.
Prior to joining Ontario Teachers', Katie held corporate development roles at CIBC and Viterra, where she was responsible for formulating strategy and identifying and executing M&A opportunities. Prior to that, she was part of the private equity investment team at TorQuest Partners and was an investment banker at Genuity Capital Markets and TD Securities. Katie is a CFA charterholder and earned an Honours Business Administration degree (with distinction) from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario.

Mohit Talwar joined Ontario Teachers' in 2013. He has been involved with a number of investments, including Fleet Complete, Kanetix, CareerBuilder, Lendmark Financial Services, SeaCube Container Leasing, Aircastle Ltd., Lancaster Aircraft Leasing LP, First American Payment Systems, Nextgen Group, and BayBridge Seniors Housing. Mohit currently serves on the boards of Fleet Complete, Kanetix, and CareerBuilder, and was formerly on the boards of SeaCube Container Leasing and Lendmark Financial Services.
Previously, Mohit worked at Greenbriar Equity Group where he focused on private equity investments in the global transportation industry. Prior to Greenbriar, he worked in the investment banking division at Morgan Stanley in Toronto and New York.
Mohit holds a BBA (with distinction) from the Schulich School of Business at York University and an MBA from INSEAD.
Jarnail Badwal joined Private Capital in 2013. He has been involved in a number of transactions at Ontario Teachers', including 24-7 Intouch, Ascend Learning, CareerBuilder, Compass Datacenters, Datapipe, Fleet Complete, Flynn Restaurant Group, and TierPoint.
Jarnail earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree (with great distinction) from the John Molson School of Business at Concordia University.
Vrinda Grover joined Private Capital in 2017. Prior to joining Ontario Teachers', Vrinda completed rotations in Transaction Services and the Valuations group through the Deals Rotational Program at PwC.
Vrinda is a CPA, CA. She earned a Bachelor of Accounting and Financial Management and a Master of Accounting from the University of Waterloo.
Antony Waszkiewicz joined Ontario Teachers' in 2012 and has nearly a decade of private equity and investment banking experience. Since joining Ontario Teachers', Antony has been involved in a number of investments including 24-7 Intouch, BayBridge Seniors Housing, Camelot Global, Impark, Metronode, and SeaCube Container Leasing.
He previously worked as an Investment Banking Analyst at Canaccord Genuity.
Antony holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Finance from the University of Toronto and is a CFA charterholder.

Jordan Good joined Ontario Teachers’ in 2019 and is part of Private Capital’s Technology, Media & Telecom team. He is currently involved with our investments in Compass Datacenters and TierPoint.
Prior to joining the organization, Jordan worked as a Diversified Investment Banking Analyst at Paradigm.
Jordan holds a BBA from Wilfrid Laurier University and a BMath from the University of Waterloo.
