Michael leads the Natural Resources team and is responsible for overseeing a diversified global portfolio across agriculture and aquaculture, energy, metals, timberland and natural climate solutions. Prior to this role, he has held roles with increasing seniority within Infrastructure and Natural Resources, most recently as a Managing Director on the Natural Resources team. Michael has led and contributed to several investments in within agriculture, agriculture, natural climate solutions, and metals, as well several sub-sectors within infrastructure, and serves on the board of several of these companies. He joined Teachers’ in 2008 and began his career in infrastructure investments, before transitioning to the Natural Resources team in 2015. He started his professional career in investment banking in New York, and has also worked as partner for a specialist agriculture private equity fund.

Michael holds a Bachelor of Commerce (highest distinction) from McGill University and is also a CFA charterholder.
