Jo Taylor is President and CEO of Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan (Ontario Teachers’), one of the world’s largest and most sophisticated institutional investors. He leads a global investment organization with a long-term mission of delivering retirement security for its members through resilient, diversified investment portfolios and innovative service strategies.

Joining Ontario Teachers’ in 2012, Jo has more than 40 years of experience in global investing and leadership across public and private markets. He has been pivotal in shaping Ontario Teachers’ international growth and strategic expansion, working closely with senior teams to enhance investment performance, risk-adjusted returns and operational excellence across the organization.

Jo’s expertise has been honed over a career of working in Europe, Asia and the Americas, leading multiple successful investment and business growth strategies. Prior to joining Ontario Teachers’, Jo spent more than 20 years with 3i Group plc where he held a number of senior Group Management roles.

Jo graduated from London University with a BA (Honours) and later earned an MBA from Manchester Business School. He has served as the Chairman and non-executive director of many companies, including Helly Hansen and Camelot.
