Canada Post service disruption: What to expect

Canada Post mail services have shut down due to a national strike. We’re committed to minimizing the impact on our members as much as possible. Any payments that can’t be sent via direct deposit will be couriered to members. All non-critical correspondence will be stored until normal postal service resumes. Sign in to your online account for any additional correspondence.

If you’re a pensioner and don’t receive payment by direct deposit, your September pension payment was mailed prior to the commencement of the strike and should’ve arrived as usual. If you receive cheques, we encourage you to enroll in direct deposit, so you won’t be affected by postal disruptions or subject to the typical holding periods required for cheques.
