Based in Toronto, JC Bourque helps lead the direct investing efforts of Teachers’ Venture Growth (TVG) across North America. Before assuming this role, JC was responsible for growth strategy, innovation and value creation, and portfolio construction across the organization in the Portfolio Solutions Group, previously led the Value Creation team in Teachers’ Venture Growth, and was a founding member of Global Investment Strategy at Ontario Teachers’, responsible for fund-wide strategy across asset classes and regions.  

Prior to joining Ontario Teachers’, JC worked at KPMG in the management consulting and deal advisory groups across multiple industries and engagements. He has a strong background in strategy development, international relations and foreign markets, as well as extensive experience in politics and public affairs advisory.  

JC teaches global strategy at Rotman Commerce at the University of Toronto and holds degrees from Western University, the London School of Economics, and the University of Toronto's Rotman School of Management.
