 Teachers' and Morgan Stanley Infrastructure complete acquisition of SAESA Group
The Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan (Teachers') and Morgan Stanley Infrastructure (MSI) have completed the transaction to jointly acquire SAESA Group (SAESA), a Chilean electricity distribution, transmission and generation company from Public Service Enterprise Group (PSEG) for a purchase price of US$887 million. Under the agreement announced with PSEG on June 17, Teachers’ and MSI each own 50% of the company and have assumed approximately US$400 million in existing company debt. The enterprise value of the company is US$1.3 billion. español

 Teachers' Statement Re: Moneysupermarket.com Group PLC
At the request of the UK Takeover Panel, Teachers' confirms that it made a preliminary approach, through Teachers’ private investment arm Teachers’ Private Capital, to Simon Nixon, Moneysupermarket.com’s majority shareholder, in relation to a possible offer for Moneysupermarket.com.

 Teachers' promotes investment managers with track record for value added performance
The Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan (Teachers') has announced the promotions of seven executives in the Investment division. The appointments include: Stephen Dowd, Senior Vice-President, Infrastructure; Ron Mock, Senior Vice-President, Alternative Investments; Jason Chang, Vice-President, Fixed Income Capital Management; Kevin Kerr, Vice-President, Infrastructure; and Andrew Claerhout, Shael Dolman and Glen Silvestri to Vice-President, Teachers' Private Capital.

 Teachers' pension service ranked first in North America
The Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan provides the best-in-class pension service in North America. A just-released report from CEM Benchmarking Inc. ranked the Teachers' plan first among its peers in North America, based on an evaluation of 11 service categories, ranging from the payment of pensions to contact with members.

 Investor group led by Teachers' Private Capital and Providence Equity Partners enter into final agreement with BCE
Teachers' Private Capital, the private investment arm of the Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan, Providence Equity Partners Inc., Madison Dearborn Partners, LLC and Merrill Lynch Global Private Equity today issued the following statement regarding the final agreement that the company formed by the investor group has entered into with BCE.

 Response to Supreme Court BCE Ruling
Officials at the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan and their transaction partners have responded to today's Supreme Court of Canada ruling regarding the privatization of BCE. On behalf of the consortium, Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan CEO Jim Leech today stated "We are pleased with the Supreme Court's decision and are continuing to work to complete an acquisition of BCE."

 Teachers' and Morgan Stanley Infrastructure to acquire PSEG's Chilean Electricity Assets
Morgan Stanley Infrastructure ("MSI") today announced that they have entered into a definitive agreement to jointly acquire SAESA Group ("SAESA"), a Chilean electric distribution, transmission and generation unit of Public Service Enterprise Group ("PSEG") for a purchase price of approximately US$870 million. Teachers' and MSI will also assume more than $400 million in existing company debt. Ownership of the US$1.3 billion enterprise will be shared equally.

 El plan de pensiones Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan y Morgan Stanley Infrastructure completan la adquisición de Grupo SAESA
TORONTO/NUEVA YORK: El consorcio formado por Ontario Teacher' Pension Plan (Teachers') y Morgan Stanley Infrastructure (MSI) completó las transacciones, por un valor de US$887 millones, para adquirir el Grupo SAESA (SAESA), compañía chilena de distribución, transmisión y generación de energía eléctrica que forma parte de los activos de Public Service Enterprise Group (PSEG). Conforme al contrato con PSEG anunciado el 17 de junio, Teachers' y MSI poseen el 50% de la compañía respectivamente y asumieron la deuda de Grupo Saesa por un monto aproximado de US$400 millones. El valor de la empresa es de US$1,300 millones.

 Teachers' earns $4.7 billion in investment income, grows net assets to $108.5 billion
The Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan (Teachers’) has again beaten its composite benchmark, earning a 4.5% annual rate of return, compared to the composite benchmark's 2.3% return. This translates into $2.3 billion in value added above benchmark and brings the fund's total value, as of December 31, 2007, to $108.5 billion.

 CPP Investment Board and Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan invest US$400 million in Chinese private equity fund
The Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, the investment management organization that invests the reserve fund assets of the Canada Pension Plan, and Teachers' Private Capital, the private investment arm of the Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan, announced today they are investing US$200 million each in FountainVest, a newly-established private equity fund focused on investing in private enterprises in China.
