Teachers’ Eileen Mercier and Jane Rowe named among Canada's Top 100 Most Powerful Women

The Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan (Teachers') congratulates board chair, Eileen Mercier, and Jane Rowe, Senior Vice-President of Teachers' Private Capital on receiving the prestigious 2012 Canada's Most Powerful Women: Top 100 Award in the corporate executives category.

The Women's Executive Network (WXN) presents the awards to 100 Canadian women each year in recognition of their professional achievements in the private, public and not-for-profit sectors. Winners are selected based on their strategic vision and leadership, their organization's financial performance, and their commitment to their communities.

Ms. Mercier and Ms. Rowe join fellow Teachers' recipient Rosemarie McClean, who was honoured in 2008.

With $117.1 billion in assets as of December 31, 2011, the Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan is the largest single-profession pension plan in Canada. An independent organization, it invests the pension fund's assets and administers the pensions of 300,000 active and retired teachers in Ontario. For more information visit  www.otpp.com.
