- Managing Director, Global Funds
Tanya Carmichael is based in Toronto and leads the Global Funds team for Ontario Teachers'. She has extensive experience in private equity fund investing and represents Ontario Teachers' on numerous limited partner advisory committees.
Tanya has previously served as Chair of the Institutional Limited Partners Association (ILPA) board of directors and on the Private Equity Steering Committee of the Principles of Responsible Investment.
Before joining Ontario Teachers' in 2006, she was an executive director in CIBC World Markets' private equity funds group and also worked in the legal and compliance group at CIBC. Tanya articled at Stikeman Elliott in Toronto.
Tanya received a BA (Honours) from Queen's University and an LLB from Western University. She holds the ICD.D certification from the Institute of Corporate Directors.
Christian Dunn joined Ontario Teachers' in 2006 and moved to the Hong Kong office in 2013. He has been involved in the origination, evaluation, execution, and post-investment monitoring and management of numerous fund investments, most recently with a focus on Asia and the emerging markets. He has also been involved in select direct and venture capital investments. As part of the Asia team, Christian is focused on fund investments in the region.
Christian is a CFA charterholder and graduated from McGill University with a Bachelor of Commerce degree.

Amit Sobti joined the Private Capital division of Ontario Teachers' in 2016 and is part of the senior team responsible for direct and co-investing activities across the Asia-Pacific region. Amit sits on the board of Spandana Sphoorty.
Prior to joining Ontario Teachers', Amit had more than 15 years of experience in private equity and investment banking, most recently as a principal at Unitas Capital in Hong Kong. He was previously a principal in the healthcare group at Warburg Pincus in New York, prior to which he worked at Rhone Capital and in the M&A group at Merrill Lynch.
Amit holds a dual A.B. (magna cum laude) in Business Economics and Computer Science from Brown University.
Joe Topley joined Ontario Teachers' London office in 2016 and is responsible for private equity funds in the EMEA region.
Joe is a member of the Institutional Limited Partners Association (ILPA) board of directors. He previously worked at StepStone, a global private markets advisory firm where he was responsible for business development, investment research and client management across Europe. He started his career as a management consultant and worked in private equity and investment banking prior to joining StepStone.
Joe holds a B.Sc. in Molecular Biology from Imperial College, London; a Postgraduate Diploma in Economics from University College, London; and an MBA from INSEAD.

Jungho Cho joined Ontario Teachers' in 2015 and is responsible for direct and co-investing activities in Asia.
Prior to Ontario Teachers', Jungho was with the International Finance Corporation, TVG Capital Partners, and Merrill Lynch. He has more than 16 years of investment experience across private equity, public equities, and project finance, as well as in investment banking where he began his career.
Jungho holds a BA in Economics from Yale University and an MBA from the University of Chicago.

Paul Lee joined Ontario Teachers' Hong Kong office in 2015 and is focused on direct investment opportunities across Asia.
Before joining Ontario Teachers', Paul was an investment professional with FFL, a San Francisco-based mid-market private equity fund, where he worked on originating and executing deals across North America. Prior to FFL, Paul was an investment banker in the New York and Hong Kong offices of Merrill Lynch.
Paul holds a BA in Economics from Cornell University and an MBA from INSEAD.

Adrian Cheung joined the Private Capital Funds team in 2012, and is part of the senior team responsible for fund investing and portfolio management, focusing on the Americas. He initially joined Ontario Teachers' in 2005, and was involved in the origination, evaluation, execution, and post-investment monitoring and management of direct and fund investments globally.
Prior to joining the organization, Adrian worked in investment banking at UBS.
Adrian holds a B.Comm. (Honours) from Queen's University.

Richard Lam joined Ontario Teachers' in 2012 and is part of the senior team responsible for fund investing and portfolio management, focusing on Venture Capital and Growth Equity.
Richard started his career at Merrill Lynch & Co. in investment banking. He subsequently joined TorQuest Partners as an investment professional, and also recently worked at the Boston Consulting Group as a management consultant.
Richard holds an HBA and an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business at Western University.

Peixi joined Ontario Teachers' Hong Kong office in 2015 and is focused on fund as well as direct investment opportunities across Asia.
Prior to joining Ontario Teachers', Peixi was an investment professional with Goldman Sachs Principal Investment Area, where she focused on private equity investments across Asia. Before that, Peixi worked in the Investment Banking Division of Morgan Stanley in Hong Kong.
Peixi holds dual B.Sc. degrees in Economics and Biological Sciences, as well as a Master of Law degree from Peking University.
Michelle joined Ontario Teachers' in 2014 and is part of the team responsible for private equity fund investing and portfolio management.
She previously worked in the Consulting and Deals group at PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Michelle holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Toronto. She is a Chartered Accountant (2012 CICA Honour Roll) and a Chartered Business Valuator.
Michael Powers joined Private Capital in 2013 and is currently part of the team responsible for private equity fund investing, focusing on Venture Capital and Growth Equity.
Michael has worked at Ontario Teachers' since 2008. Previously, he was part of the Portfolio Management team where he was responsible for portfolio analytics and helping to oversee the operational aspects of the department. Prior to this he conducted operational due diligence on the Plan's hedge fund portfolio and worked in derivatives trade support.
Michael holds a Bachelor of Management and Organizational Studies degree, with a specialization in finance, from Western University. He is also a CFA charterholder.

Ronnie Tang joined Ontario Teachers' Hong Kong office in 2015 and is focused on direct and co-investment opportunities across Asia.
Before joining Ontario Teachers', Ronnie was an investment professional with Unitas Capital in Hong Kong. Prior to that, Ronnie worked at McKinsey & Company as a business analyst based in Shanghai.
Ronnie holds an A.B. in Economics from the University of Chicago and completed an exchange program at Peking University.

Kyna Liu joined Private Capital in 2016 and is currently part of the team responsible for private equity fund investing and portfolio management.
Prior to joining Ontario Teachers', Kyna worked in the product and investment management group at Sun Life Global Investments.
Kyna received an Honours Business Administration degree from Ivey Business School at Western University.
