Kry: Accessible healthcare for everyone

The investment: In 2019, we led the €140m Series C round in Kry, Europe’s largest digital healthcare provider, with a follow-up investment in 2021.

Long wait times, busy phone lines, confusing websites. These were the frustrations Johannes Schildt regularly experienced when he tried to book a doctor’s appointment in Stockholm, Sweden. Underwhelmed by his own experience, he sought to change it.

In 2014, he co-founded Kry (known as Livi in the UK, France and Germany) to deliver better and more accessible healthcare for everyone. Kry works by rapidly connecting patients with qualified health professionals, including doctors, nurses and psychologists, through a computer, smartphone or tablet. Kry has already helped over four million patients across Europe access healthcare instantly and take a more proactive approach to managing their health.

Today, 80 per cent of patients are helped within 25 minutes, and patients rate the service 4.9 out of 5. If the pandemic has taught us anything, it’s that access to quality healthcare is essential to our health and our wellbeing.

How we're investing to make a mark

Through our partnership and investment in Kry, we have helped them:
