TORONTO (September 1, 2010): Michael Wissell, Senior Vice President of the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan Tactical Asset Allocation department, has been appointed to the Ontario Securities Commission's newly formed Investor Advisory Panel.

The Panel will provide investor input on the work of the Commission, including rules, policies and the annual Statement of Priorities,
as well as specific issues requested by the Commission. The seven members appointed to the Panel will serve a two-year term and the first meeting is expected in September.

Mr. Wissell has more than 20 years of comprehensive experience in the capital markets. In his current role at Teachers’, he manages the Tactical Asset Allocation investment department which provides key capital markets functions, including ensuring that equities, commodities and currency exposures stay within the proportions established by the Plan’s board. He holds Chartered Financial Analyst and ICD.D designations and serves on the board of directors of several private corporations.
