(“INC Research” or the “Company”) from an investor group led by Crosspoint Venture Partners and Adams Street Partners. INC Research is a therapeutically focused global contract research organization with deep expertise in managing late stage clinical development programs.

The Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan (Teachers’) today announced that it is selling 3,400,000 voting common shares and 10,300,000 non-voting common shares of Maple Leaf Foods Inc. (MFI) and 2,193,913 warrants exercisable into voting common shares of MFI to funds managed by West Face Capital Inc.

Teachers’ cast its vote against the proposed arrangement between Magna International Inc. (Magna) and the Stronach Trust at Magna’s shareholder meeting earlier today. In addition, we intend to join other shareholders to oppose the proposed transaction at the Ontario Superior Court of Justice fairness hearing scheduled for August 12 and 13. Our concerns are with the substance of the proposed arrangement and the governance process followed by the Special Committee and the Board.

The Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan (Teachers’) stated today that it still intends to vote against Magna’s proposed transaction to eliminate the company’s multiple-voting shares, indicating that the additional disclosure provided by Magna in its revised circular issued on July 9 does not provide any further assurance that the proposal is fair to subordinate voting shareholders.
