Teachers' Private Capital takes a two-pronged approach to investing in private companies:

• investing directly in companies (either on our own or through co-investments with fund partners)
• investing in fund partnerships

The fund program is an integral part of our private equity strategy, allowing us to augment our geographic footprint and make investments in industries and sectors we could not easily access directly.

We also invest in venture capital by backing top-tier international venture capital and growth equity funds, focused on technology, healthcare and other venture sectors.

Globally, we have established more than 20 strategic fund relationships with private equity and venture capital firms that demonstrate:

• strong investment track records
• access to specialized industries
• access to regions that augment our geographic footprint
• high probability of significant co-investment opportunities
