Hugh Mackenzie

Hugh Mackenzie manages an economic consulting firm and has worked as an economist for more than 35 years in the public, non-profit and trade union sectors.He is a research associate at the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives and the Centre for Urban Studies at the University of Toronto and serves on the Ontario Pension Board and Investment Advisory Committee of the Canada Post Pension Plan. Mr. Mackenzie is the former executive director of the Ontario Fair Tax Commission (1991-1994). He has published several papers on education funding and on public finance.
Mr. Mackenzie was appointed chair of the board and president of the Atkinson Charitable Foundation in 2010. He holds an Honours BA (Economics) from the University of Western Ontario and an MA (Economics & Public Finance) from the University of Wisconsin (Madison). |
