As announced by the Ontario Teachers’ Federation and the Ontario government this past summer, contribution increases are being phased-in over a three-year period, beginning in January 2007.
Please use the following two-step formula, with the new rates, when calculating contributions next year.
Formula
- 9.3% of member’s salary up to the Year’s Maximum Pensionable Earnings (YMPE)
- 10.9% of member’s salary in excess of YMPE
